Neo-Mandala

(photography becomes spirit and self)

A mandala is a symbol of ritual, repetition, and enlightenment. With interests in Buddhist philosophy, I used the camera and digital manipulation in order to create new forms of reflection: Neo-Mandalas. Each image was created by altering photographs, using various methods, into circular forms, some even with the addition of color manipulation, layer blending, or even adding elements with Adobe Illustrator. They are meant to be visual spaces for inner thought.
